I have come to understand what I offer as the work of soul and belonging. Grieving, singing, navigating life transitions and significant change, open doors to the wisdom of the soul. To what connects us to each other and our world. Allowing ourselves to come undone, for our hearts to break, to be in the discomfort of not knowing, invites in something deeper to emerge - the unbreakable strength of the spirit.
It is my privilege to walk beside you on this unfolding path of finding our way home. When you are unsure, or the muck feels too thick, you can borrow my trust.
I have been a Social Worker since 2003, and in private practice as a therapist for a decade. Time has taught me what an absolute honour it is to walk alongside individuals navigating the depths of grief, loss, illness and change.
I have over two decades of experience facilitating groups, and more recently facilitating group singing in the oral tradition. Gathering together in all our joys and sorrows feels like the essential work of belonging needed in these times. My group facilitation experience includes mother-mother breastfeeding support groups, women’s circles, mid-life transition circles, and grief groups. I am a trained meditation teacher (Vipassana and Zen traditions) and have taught meditation to both groups and individuals.
The nature of my work means I am learning all the time - which I love! It is rare that I am not enrolled in a program or course, expanding my knowledge and experience in these areas dear to my heart. Some of the most influential teachers I have had the pleasure to learn from include Francis Weller, Holly Truhlar, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.
I am a mother of three wonderful children, love learning from plants, from the earth, and creating beauty via making jewelry, creams, oils and other magical things.
